Set in the 1930s, and inspired by George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, My Fair
Lady tells the story of distinguished phonetics professor Henry Higgins, who
wagers that he can transform common flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady by
teaching her to speak properly. The lessons are long, and arduous. And in the end,
Eliza is not the only one transformed.
