Our History

After completing a program in recording engineering from the Institute of Audio Research in New York City, managing original bands in the Philadelphia club market in the mid to late seventies, and later graduating from La Salle University in Philadelphia with a degree in Finance, Dan Mulhern packed up this experience and moved to be part of the history being made in Atlantic City.

In 1981 he witnessed and participated in the amazing transformation of Atlantic City into a mega casino resort and subsequently participated in one of the most active and robust entertainment markets since Las Vegas’s glory days.  Today, this unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience is the foundation from which the company was built. The number of amazing performers, from headliners and production shows performing on Atlantic City’s showroom stages, to bands performing in the lounges, was staggering and the perfect environment to build an entertainment company that saw it all. The relationships Dan created with both the talent and the talent buyers of this exciting time were the company’s start.  The rest, as they say, is history.

Over the years, the need for a single source for quality entertainment became increasingly important.  In 1988, Daniel Mulhern Entertainment, Inc. was formed.  Dan positioned the company to meet this need by expanding the company’s talent divisions and has grown with each new opportunity. DMEI has booked thousands of engagements, each with a focus on quality and matching the client's individual needs.
